Britney Spears says new album is "best work ever"

NEW YORK () - Britney Spears says her sixth album will be out within nine months as the U.S. pop star seeks to repercussion from distressing behavior and hospital stints for psychiatric evaluations.





In an interview with OK! cartridge clip released on Wednesday, the 26-year-old says she has written more for the new album than her previous five studio albums, and describes it as having an "urban" feel.





"I'm writing every day, right here at the forte-piano," said Spears, one of the world's most successful pop stars of the early 2000s. Her last album, "Blackout," debuted at No. 2 on Billboard 200 last November, but quickly slid down the chart.





Spears has given few interviews in recent geezerhood as her life spiraled out of control and she helpless custody of her two sons.





Over the past 18 months she has been involved in an despicable divorce from Kevin Federline, entered rehab treatment several times, and exhibited temperamental behavior like shaving her head and attacking a photographer's car with an umbrella.





But in the past tense six months, her father Jamie Spears has taken over management of her affairs and she was also mentioned as a possible Emmy award candidate for node appearances on U.S. TV series "How I Met Your Mother."





When asked by OK! if she would like to do more playacting, Spears aforesaid: "I'd love to, if I canful find the right film."





"Actually, I hold a part that just came up. We're simply trying to work it out with my docket, with the children," she said.





A court recently extended Jamie Spears control all over his daughter's affairs, which he shares with Los Angeles lawyer Andrew Wallet, until the end of 2008.�

Disney - Should Movies Be Released On Dvd And Vod On Same Day

The leading film studios have split over the question of whether to release movies on video-on-demand (VOD) on the same day they do so on DVD, the New York Post reported today (Tuesday). According to the newspaper, Warner Bros. and Sony want to do a "day and escort" release; Paramount, Disney and 20th Century Fox do not. In an question with the newspaper, Peter Chernin, COO of News Crop, the parent company of Fox, said, "We still have some concerns that it may cannibalise our DVD business. ... What's paramount in our mind is protecting our overall margins, and we sure enough don't want to be overly strong-growing until we're sure that any move like that is departure to be margin accretive." On the other hand, Jeff Bewkes, CEO of Time Warner, the owner of Warner Bros., said that its tests indicate there is no reason for such concern. "We think that since we haven't seen cannibalization on sell-through, that it's loss to increase margins and profitability going to day-and-date," Bewkes said.
